CALL TO ORDER:
Chris Esquibel, 29th (President), Tom Weishaar, 1st (Vice-President), Kelly Johnson, 4th (Treasurer), Spence Koehn, 4th (Training), Brad Schuh, 3rd (Legislative), Kelsey Cox, 27th (Public Relations), Brian Swenson 28th (Parliamentarian), Ryan Duckers, 29th (Secretary)
OFFICER’S REPORTS:
Reading/Review of the Minutes:
Chris Esquibel (29th), called the meeting to order.
Reading and review of September 2019 minutes.
Kelsey Cox (27th) moved to approve September 2019 minutes as submitted. Brian Swenson (28th) seconded the motion. All in favor and motion approved.
Treasurer’s Report:
August 2019, September 2019 and 3rd quarter Treasurer’s reports submitted.
August 2019 ending balance was $48,814.20, September 2019 ending balance was $45,251.84 and 3rd quarter ending balance was also $45,251.84.
Spence Koehn (4th) moved to approve the Treasurer’s reports as submitted. Kelsey Cox (27th) seconded the motion. All in favor and motion approved.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Training
Finalizing conference details, but everything is set and ready to go.
Chris will be handling the welcome.
Justice Nuss will swear in the newly elected officers at the banquet.
Chris advised that the Holiday Inn in Overland Park has reached out to him about hosting a future conference.

Legislative
Brad advised that he attended the Criminal Reform meeting in September and that the report for this will be turned in by 12/1/19.
There has been some talk about doing away with the drivers’ license reinstatement fee, but Brad reported that it will likely not go far.
The budget is a big factor in whether or not there will be any major changes.
Next legislative meeting is scheduled for 1/21/2020 at 11:00 in Topeka, KS.
Public Relations
Kelsey advised that she secured 9 vendors for this conference. She continues to reach out to vendors and explore other options for future conferences.
Membership and Nomination
Election ballots have been received and counted. Brad Schuh (3rd) was re-elected as Legislative Chair. Tom Weishaar (1st) was re-elected as Vice President. Stephanie Springer (27th) was re-elected for Membership and Nominations. Ryan Duckers (29th) was re-elected as Secretary.
OJA REPORT:
Nothing to report.
OLD BUSINESS:
Raffle Update:
Tickets are available for sale and pick-up at the conference. At this time approximately 739 of the 1,000 tickets have been reserved by association members.
All sold tickets are to be turned into Stephanie by 1/6/2020.
Website Advertisers :
Core Monitoring and Intoxalock have renewed for the next year. Alcohol Detection Systems is not renewing.
NEW BUSINESS:
Workload Study:
The study has been given to OJA, but it is unknown what will happen from here.
WRNA:
The Sentencing Commission voted to start using the WRNA (Womens’ Risk Needs Assessment) as part of the Pre-Sentence Investigation. There is no implementation date at this time as things like training and certifications still need to be looked at.
LSI-R / YLS / EPICS:
October LSI-R training was cancelled and at this time it is not known when the next trainings will be scheduled for. The RFP for this is still pending.
OJA Job Openings:
There are currently two open HR positions within OJA
KACSO Website:
The website now has a blog section that members can utilize.

NEXT MEETING:
The next meeting will be on Thursday November 21st, 2019 at 10:00 am in Emporia at the Lyon County Courthouse.
